Classic SPA Massage

IMG_20190421_212553_450.jpg

Classic massage is a natural therapy method that provides both physical and mental renewal by reactivating the skin, subcutaneous tissue, muscles, internal organs, circulatory, and lymphatic systems through various manipulations. It is a massage applied to the skin using natural herbal massage oils, from the periphery towards the center, meaning in the direction of the heart. Although its historical development dates back to the emergence of humanity, traditional practices began primarily in India and China, while modern techniques were developed in Germany and Sweden.

Since the circulatory systems work more efficiently during the massage, it becomes easier to transport blood and lymph fluid to the heart, allowing the heart to rest. As the nervous and endocrine (hormone) systems are balanced, the healthy functioning of all body systems is supported.

The lighter version is called "Relax" massage.

The more intense version is known as "Deep Tissue" or "Swedish" massage.

In **Sports Massage**, percussion (tapping) manipulations are frequently used.

It is the use of herbal aromatic oils with massage manipulations for complementary and preventive health purposes to eliminate mental and physical imbalances in the body and to protect body health. Essential oils obtained from plants are very dense, aromatic, active and volatile liquids with very rich chemical structures. Depending on the plant groups they are obtained from, herbal oils have sedative or stimulant, pain relieving, muscle relaxant, detoxifying, breathing, balancing the nervous system, relieving depression and insomnia, strengthening the memory, cell renewing antiseptic and antiviral effects. The results they give are slow but side effect-free and healing.

They are basically divided into two as high or low odors. Low odors are dense, heavy, dark and although their effects are not fast, they emit longer lasting energy. They are more suitable for hyperactive people. High odors are lighter, sweeter and airy odors. They create a fast effect on the person and emit energy for a shorter period of time. Suitable for people with heavier blood. It is possible to find the ideal scent for you by combining these types of oils.

Reflexology

The first place of application of reflexology is considered to be ancient India, China or Ancient Egypt. Throughout history, ancient civilizations have applied this method to many ailments and diseases and have achieved good results. This method, which has always existed traditionally in the East, was brought to the West, the center of Modern Medicine, by Dr. William H. Fitzgerald in the early 1900s.

As far as is known, the working principle of reflexology is based on the stimulation of reflex points on the hands and feet, and the electrochemical messages that emerge with the help of nerve cells and neurons, and the biomagnetic messages with the help of their own channels, stimulating the relevant organs and supporting their work. In other words, there is a point on the soles of the hands and feet where each organ and hormone gland is reflected. For example; reflexology application to the liver point on the foot stimulates the liver and encourages it to function properly.

Shiatsu Massage

Shiatsu (acupuncture massage) which means finger pressure in Japanese is a traditional Japanese massage that is both relaxing and invigorating. Its basis is influenced by the ancient Chinese healing method Acupuncture, which is thousands of years old.

It is performed while clothed and on the ground. It is applied in the form of thumb and palm pressure, stretching techniques and soft oscillations along the meridians, which are the energy channels in the body.

Shiatsu helps to activate these opposing energies in the body and return them to their natural state. The aim of Shiatsu massage is to activate the body's self-healing ability and repair the disrupted energy balance.

Lymphatic Drainage Massage

Lymph circulation, which is the waste collection system responsible for the cleaning of our internal organs, increases our immunity when it works properly and we have a healthy and shiny body resistant to diseases. Lymph circulation works parallel to the blood circulation we know and is the dirty waste system of our body.

Manual Lymphatic Drainage Massage

Lymphatic drainage massage is the most important application especially for reducing edema. It is an extremely light, monotonous, slow, rhythmic massage applied to the skin surface. It accelerates the flow of lymph fluid and provides comfort by minimizing swelling. Lymphatic flow is supported with lymphatic drainage massage and swelling caused by edema can be reduced. Lymphatic drainage massage cleanses our body from toxins, bacteria, microbes, chemical waste and excess fluid and strengthens our resistance system. The strengthened body shows perfect resistance to internal and external factors, thus providing spiritual purification in addition to physiological well-being.

Benefits of Manual Lymphatic Drainage Massage

Manual lymphatic drainage massage, which is frequently applied for beauty and general body health, provides benefits in the following cases: Edema and swelling (Swollen ankles, legs, water retention in the body) Toxin accumulation Cellulite and weight problems Acne and other skin problems Pre- and post-operative problems Scars (old or new) Constipation and indigestion Hormonal imbalances Menopause problems Premenstrual tension Breast tenderness due to edema Sinusitis, hay fever, allergic reactions Recurrent infections (Cold, flu, upper respiratory tract diseases) Rheumatism Stress, anxiety, tension, fatigue, insomnia

Cellulite Massage

Hydrolipodystrophy,' commonly known as cellulite, occurs when fat tissue in the subcutaneous layer of the skin becomes trapped between connective tissues. This leads to irregular and uneven fat accumulation, particularly in the hips and upper thighs, resulting in unsightly appearances you would rather not see. It's not just the fat cells that are responsible for the orange-peel appearance; rapid weight loss and weak connective tissue also contribute to the formation of cellulite. Cellulite stems from enlarged fat cells. Fat cells, which are about the size of a pinhead, store fats from the food we consume in micromolecules.

- High-intensity regional and full-body massages:

These are focused on circulation. This type of massage activates subcutaneous blood circulation, revitalizing the tissue. It also aids in the easier breakdown of fat tissues. Warming oils are used and applied to the cellulite-affected areas. Additionally, classic massage should be applied to the entire body.

- Lymphatic drainage massages

: These are particularly effective on lymphatic circulation. This massage, performed very slowly and specifically on lymph nodes, ends by sending abundant oxygen to the cells and facilitating the removal of toxins from the body.

Sport Massage

Sports massage is a form of bodywork aimed at athletes. It is used to prevent injuries, prepare the body for athletic activities, keep it in optimal condition, and help athletes recover from the fatigue and injuries of training. There are three main types of sports massage: pre-event massage, post-event massage, and maintenance massage. Each type of sports massage utilizes different massage techniques.

Sports massage sessions typically last 30-60 minutes. Pre-event massage is performed just before the athlete enters a competition. It consists of rapid effleurage to stimulate and warm up the muscles and petrissage to facilitate easy muscle movement and reduce muscle tension. Effleurage generally involves relaxing strokes, but when done quickly, it becomes stimulating. As the massage progresses and pressure increases, the massage therapist uses percussive strokes and cupping to stimulate the muscles for contraction and stretching. Although the area of the body that is massaged varies from sport to sport, the leg and lower back muscles are usually the targets of this type of massage.
